Q&A with Jill Chiara, MetaCX’s New Chief Revenue Officer

November 03, 2020 | Written by Kolby Tallentire

Earlier this week, MetaCX announced its appointment of Jill Chiara to the newly created role of chief revenue officer (read the press release here). In this role, Jill will lead the sales, customer success, and professional service teams. Jill brings 20 years of experience at the SVP and VP level with leading companies like Drift, Crimson Hexagon, and Forrester.

To get to know Jill a little bit better, we asked her a few questions. Below are her answers!

Q: Why MetaCX?

Throughout my years of selling software and services, I have witnessed firsthand the black hole that exists between sales and customer success. Most teams have the best intentions, but the two organizations often speak different languages. Such an important part of the customer experience shouldn’t be left to chance. It’s about time organizations place the utmost priority on managing successful outcomes for their customers.

Q: What do you like most about leading a revenue organization?

The Close. It often takes a village to bring on a new customer. It can be a long and trying process, but there’s nothing like seeing the excitement (and relief) on a salesperson’s face when he/she finally has the signed paperwork in hand.

Q: What’s one thing about you that may surprise people?

I love to drive fast cars.

Q: What’s your favorite book, movie and podcast?

Favorite book – The Giving Tree
Favorite movie – Pride and Prejudice
Favorite podcast – This American Life with Ira Glass
